ABOUT

Artist, Master Photographer, and Certified Professional Photographer, Stephen B. Dey began his journey in photography when he was a student at Charlotte Catholic High School. Following high school, Stephen continued to study the technical and artistic aspects of photography at RCC, where he graduated from in 1987. Charlotte Image Photography was created on March 1st, 1989. Stephen continued his education over the years and received his professional photographers certification in 2001 and received his master of photography title from the professional photographers of America in 2004. In 2001, Stephen opened his second studio, Memory Lane Portraits, LLC. on Hilton Head Island, SC.

Stephen is married to his beautiful wife and life long partner, Jessica. They are proud parents of 4 loving children; Joseph, Alex, Avery and Hudson. Both Stephen and Jessica are parishioners at St. Matthews Catholic Church and Stephen is a Knights of Columbus Member. Stephen is also involved with the down syndrome association of Charlotte. Stephen has been a huge Carolina panthers fan since the panthers began, and continues to dream of the day that they win a super bowl. 25 years later, Stephens's work illustrates his love for the art form of photography and reflects his versatile talent. Stephen's goal, whether the photography is for a corporate brochure or for a family heirloom, is to evoke emotion by telling a strong story through his images.
