"Stephen has photographed us with our extended family, just as a couple,
and with our daughter and we have never been anything short of thrilled
with the pictures.
There have been times we would have bet there was no way anyone could produce
any pictures from a sitting with our daughter due to her being hungry, tired,
wired or having a sudden bout of stranger anxiety. But, Stephen has never
failed to produce many incredible pictures which amazingly capture our
daughter's personality, mannerisms, and special features or quirks at each
age, no matter what her mood when we arrived. Her Kids Club album is one of
our most precious possessions and would be one of the first material things
we would grab and get out of our house in the event of a fire. It is priceless.
My only regret with Stephen is that we did not meet him before our wedding so
that he could have captured that day just as well."

Stephen Dey makes having your picture taken a fun experience! He has
photographed my family and I for the past four years and every session has
been a truly pleasant one. My daughter actually gets excited whenever I tell
her we are going to see Stephen for more pictures. He is an absolute joy to
work with not to mention our house full of beautiful photographs!

Wedding
"We could not have asked for a better photographer. Your relaxed nature
helped make the day less stressful and more fun. We never felt rushed or
pressured. It would not have been the same without you there. Thank you!"

"Our department hosts the annual service recognition banquet in March
for all Carolinas HealthCare System employees. This year, we decided to change
photographers and found Stephen Dey. Everyone was very pleased with Mr. Dey
and his team. They were prompt, professional, courteous and detail oriented
making sure they got just the right shots. Many of the banquet attendees
requested additional copies of their photos because they were a high quality
studio print. We are also very happy with the customer service we received
both before and after the event. We have already booked Charlotte Image
Photography for the 2006 service recognition banquet."

About the Artist
Stephen
Deys passion for photography began as a teenager when he took photography
classes and eventually worked as a staff photographer at Charlotte Catholic
High School. After high school graduation, he continued to study the technical
and artistic aspects of photography at Randolph Community College, in
Asheboro, NC, where at the same time, he also obtained a hands-on education
working with other talented professional photographers throughout North
Carolina.
After Stephen graduated from college, he continued to work for several
different photography studios. In April of 1989, pursuing the dream of
owning his own studio, Stephen started Charlotte Image Photography, Inc,
initially working out of his home. In 1991, he moved Charlotte Image Photography,
Inc. to its current location on Park Road where he eventually outgrew
his space and expanded into the suite next door. Stephen's work illustrates
his love for the art form of photography and reflects his versatile talent.
He is as adept at capturing the essence of an industrial worker in a plant,
as he is a child interacting with his parents or a bride and groom sharing
their first dance. His goal, whether the photography is for a corporate
brochure or for a family heirloom, is to evoke emotion by telling a story
through imagery.
Stephen continues to broaden his education, satisfy his yearning to learn
everything he can, and expand his knowledge of the ever-changing art of
photography. He received his certification in 2001 through the Professional
Photographers of America and is currently working toward his Masters of
Photography in 2002 through the same association.
